sled is dead with electrical problems

Saw the link..yes..it is the starter relay (these do go bad). The harness that goes into it, are the 3 or 4 wires in the plug? Colors?

Ok;...just went and checked mine ('07 Attak, not sure if RX1 is the same)

Looking at the terminals of the plug........
Bottom left (Red/white)-ignition 12v (+)

Bottom Right (Blue/white)-ground at rest. Neutral w/ key on. Grounds (-) on crank (turning key to start)

Top Left--EMPTY

Top Right--(Red/green)-constant 12v (+) {all times}

Well, I'm here in northern Michigan on my first trip of the year and the trails are mint! But my sled isn't so mint. At first the speedo was cutting out and cycling on and off and then my sled would eventually lose power and backfire and then stall. This happened a couple of times. It eventually led to my sled being dead on the side of the road. No ignition. Nothing. Had to spend 2 hrs drinking at a bar in Irons while i waited for my cousin to get the trailer and pick me up. When it died the first 2 times I wiggled the 4 prong connector next to the battery and that seemed to fix the electrical problems temporarily. But after it died the last time i tore the sled down by the side of the road and pulled the connector and checked the battery terminals. The connector seems fine. I put dielectric on it last year and it seems like it has a good connection. Battery seems fine. I had a battery tender on it all year. Ignition wont even click now. Any ideas? Bummer of a trip.
I have the same sled and mine has no spark. We have snow but my sled is dead!

Funny you resurrected this post from 2010. I just went through all of this 2 days ago, same problem I had four years ago. Harness plug next to battery corroded again. Pulled the block out, cleaned the contacts, reinstalled with lots of dielectric. Seems good now.

That's where the starter relay is? if so mine looks clean.

I should have taken a picture of mine when I had it apart. It is next to the battery and is fed by the positive and negative leads from the battery. 30A fuse and the wiring harness plugs into it. Mine was corroded where the harness connects. 2 of the copper terminals were white and were not allowing good contact.
