I know there are two good threads already started on ice scratchers but the answer I need I can't find in either one of those so here goes... I have a couple of sets of slidekicks coming. One set is going on my 06 Attak the other on a 07 Doo. On the web site for the scratchers they recomend mounting them on the rails but I have noticed that a lot of pics on here show them mounted to the tunnel or the steering arms. Are these better places to mount them?? Was there a recomendation to mount here or did you guys just like those spots better?? I know the previos owner of the attak I boungt said he used convensional ice scratcher but broke his rail one time (he thinks he forgot to put them up when he backed up) so before I mount on the rail is there un-do stress at this point?? I know the ones I am getting are reverse friendly so Any help would be great and think snow....

Here is where I mounted mine:

They worked just fine -- sprayed the whole skid adequately. Obviously the RSI stiff ones work a little better, but Slidekicks are fairly rigid and do have enough downward force to kick up good spray, and are reverse compatable.

Thats pretty much were I was thinkin until a saw the few pics that people have mounted to the skid below the footwell and one where it was mounted to the transfer rod and it got me to thinkin. I know rsi and that type are better but I don't want to take the chance of thowin it in reverse and forgetting about them. Expesially momma...

Yep, exactly. Ya need to grab reverse compatible ones. These work just fine IMO. I guess 1st gen ones a few years ago had issues, but they beefed them up and they are sufficient. I used them most of the winter last year.

There's no Arctic Cat sticker...... Which one ya mean? My cool bent over lady sticker??? That one's my wife's personal fave!

Those green stickers are MN registration stickers.

You had me worried there for a sec, NOS.... I thought I may have been "punked" by one of my 'Doo riding brother in laws!!!!!!!!

They'd slap a 'Doo sticker on my sled and wait to see how long until I noticed it was there!
