How hard is it to change the sliders on my 121", I have heard it is easier to take out the skid frame from someone and it's easier to do it with the frame in from another.I'm 50/50 on which way to do it. Any thoughts from someone who has done it? Thanks.

with the skid in. take the screws out of the top cap get the sliders through the windows in the track about 4 inches. then start the sled up put it in reverse. pop right off.

If you haven't had the skid out in a while it's good to take it out and check everything, but it is easier to change the sliders with the skid in if you can. Make sure you do them one side at a time.

and if its your first time doing the reverse trick, turn the secondary clutch by hand if your scared somthing might happen. take a really dull screw driver or prybar and pound them back until they touch the track windows, give them a shot of wd-40, or even better john deere hand cleaner. haha best tire lube ever. when theres pressure on the track window just wiggle it through with a screw driver, theres no need to notch out the track for them to fit through.

for installation i run a bead of hand cleaner down the inside edges of the new slider and insert through the track window vertically, then flip them back to their normal orientatiion. pound them in with a 10 pound hammer and finish them off with a old 12 inch piece of slider to push them in to where they belong.

i also use new screws every time with red loctite.
