I have an 05 rage and my friend has an 05 warrior and the sliders whore very baddly in the front and whore the plastic pieces in front of the sliders down to the rails. we shortened the limiting straps. to about an 1" of theads but now the steering is very heavy. any ideas?

Yamaha says to use 22 lbs on the track tension. My experience says that that is way too tight. Try a looser track tension and pay close attention to allignment. The sliders wear fast at first and then settledown for longer wear. Go back to the previous limiter settings to correct the steering problem. MiKe/Eden, Vt 05 Vector ER.
if you have the ripsaw with every third hole closed,try the slp anti wear pads,those really help with hyfax wear and help with fuel economy,plus its cheap to buy and takes about an hour to install,i just did mine
