I get about 2500 kms on the set i have in there now, and i have ridden in less then desirable conditions at some points. I have the low snow wheels up front and they help a lot since they seem to wear very fast up front. I am thinking about just turning them around and having the warn out part in the back where they seem to last longer and see if i can get a lot more out of one set. Has anyone tried this before?

Those sliders had 1200 miles on them when I sold you the sled, last weekend the trails were icy, I just changed the sliders on my Warrior it took me four hours!!!.... had to pull the skid, mind you it did get new wheels and bearings, a through cleaning and greasing. I think I am becoming RRYamaha's best customer!!LOL

I am starting to think I must miss the Phazer as I spend alot of time reading in the Phazer forum.

Excell's told me to change them they just get a screwdriver under the slider and get it started out a window then give it some throttle and it spins it right out?? WD40/ lube on 'em & the rail to go back on....
I had some aftermarket wider ones on there that got about 500 miles of life and had to pull the skid to replace as they wouldn't fit thru the window.
How'd you do them in 15 minutes?

I warm up the track and they slide out the window in 2 seconds.

The sliders wear right to the line and then last a long time.Up to you whether to run them wore like that since anymore wear and they are wore through but they will last a long time at the line.Other option is the Excell wheels and new slides. With the bigger Excell wheels the slides will not wear down so far before they stop wearing.

That's the exact reason I bought the sled off ya....there isn't anything "questionable" service wise that you haven't taken care of!!
You can't miss the Phazer that much, I haven't seen you doing any drive by's or sneeking around the man shed......
Well thats not bad, 2000 miles on sliders IMO. I thought you just changed them so I was a bit worried.

WD40'd both sides.
Set the track window so I could see the sliders
Hammer and a chisel to just past the window.
Vise grips and a pull and it was out.
WD'd the new ones and hammered them in.
That easy!!
