slides wear

When riding in low snow conditions a fully clipped track will not make a difference when it comes to wear. The problem with the stock sliders (hyfax) is the melting point, it's way low at 300+ F. After 2 years with decent riding conditions my sliders lasted about 6800 kms, this was with the stock 121 predator track every third clipped. This year riding in low to no snow conditions, the sliders were shot after only 140 kms!!! I have a 136 fully clipped ripsaw track in now. Trying to solve this melting hyfax problem I bought the Hyperfax sliders which have a melting point above 700F. I have over 1000 kms on them so far and they looks like new, I can't tell if they are worn or not. I have no additional wheels installed, but I added a set of ice scrapers in the front suspension to help out in glare ice conditions. Hyperfax are pricey at $159USD but they may last 10 times the stock sliders and thereby removes a lot of hassel having to change sliders all the time. My 2 cents is that they are worth all the 15900 cents I put into buying them, just my 2 cents worth of advice, buy a set, they work great.
