I have Slydog Powder Hound 7" with 7" shaper bars on my XTX. They have been on for 3 years. I trail ride agressively and off trail usually 50/50. Here's my 2 cents:
Better than stock? Yes, immensely, especially if you don't like drift in the turns. A bit, and I mean a bit, heavier steering.
Durablity. I have stuffed them into a rock, a snowbank, and a washout that broke my kneecap. Ski still looks perfect. They flex but don't break.
Bump steer. I don't notice any difference except it now holds a line which can make it lift the inside ski (thanks to the Nytro's high CG) rather than drift.
Trail ski: No, but they work very well on the trail. A C&A might be better choice for pure trail, but the slydogs are still pretty good.

I noticed the stock skis on my 11 xtx had a steel bushing in the ski itself do the powderhounds not have this?

They do for the mounts but not the skags. Hope that's what you're looking for?

Those bushings are included with the mounting kit.

Slydog mount ho;es
Actually mine came with all the required mounting parts/kit. The only real differance were the Slydog rubber saddles. The bolts, bushings and collars are exactly interchangeable
