Mighty, the Powderhound ski requires alot less steering effort, but still tracks and turns precisely with great floatation.

They were long gone last winter. Sold them to a friend that has an Apex. he loves them.
Powderhounds did work very good for me....but, they are wide like two pontoons

I will be placing an order for a set of Powder Hounds with you as soon as I get the ZX2 installed (paid for) - End of October.

Guys, anyone looking to order these Slydog Skis/Wheels in Canada, look no further than SLED-WERX ! I just ordered a complete set from them, and they hooked me up ! I can't wait to see how they're gonna look on my FX Nytro. I'll keep you updated !

You'll be really happy with the skis. I hate to say it but if you spend upwards of $10,000 on a Yamaha, you must buy aftermarket skis. The $300-$400 for the skis is well worth the extra money. It's a shame that the stock ski is so bad. It's more of a shame that they didn't change the design for the '08 models. Anyway, the skis are the very best investment you can make on an Apex and/or Nytro.

If you don't do much in the way of deep powder riding and sty mostly on groomed trails, would the Slydog Trail Ski work just as well? I am assuming that the difference between the two is surface area for flotation purposes. Is that correct?

Yes, the only difference between the two is surface area. I bought the race slydog ski for my RTX.
