Slydogs?

I currntly have C&As but they are my brothers and he needs them back but the C&As are spendy. Anyone tried the Slydog race skis on the 08 fx nytro? How do they work for trail and ditch banging? What Size are the Rear Boggies on the fx nytro rtx? Thanks DOG

I would spend the money and get C&A's. I've seen Slydogs fold under themselves in heavy snow.

If spending the money is what to do, then get the curves. I have ran my slydog powder hounds in all conditions and love them. I can't ever see them folding at all. Maxdlx

If you opt for Slydogs, go for the Race version as they are a thicker ski. The regular ones are thin and flimsy. In fact, last week a rock punched a hole right through them. Even my full length cover, which wraps around the skis, puts enough tension to "toe in" the skis. It really looked weird.

I have the slydog race skis with 8 in carbides. I'm very inpresses. I also like how they are thicker than a normal skis

I will sell my Race version slydogs with maybe 200 miles on them and they have 7.5 inch shaper bars.

I ran Slydog race skis last season and I wasn't overly impressed with them. They are light but the build quality wasn't all that good. I didn't have any durability problems with them and they floated better than stock. They are more aggressive than stock but not as aggressive as Ultra Flex III's which were a copy of an early C&A ski. I ran shaper bars with 9" of carbide on the Slydogs and the high speed stability wasn't very good.

This season I'm going to run Curves. I've got my sled taken apart right now but will post once it is back together. The Curves are much nicer in fit and finish and they are built much heavier. They make the Slydogs look fragile by comparison.

I just got a set of slydog trail skis, I orderd the race ski but they were having problems getting them done for me ,I talked to brad at slydog he sad he had the trail ski ready so he set them two me ,I just got done bolting them on ,and then taking them back off these skis are so flimsy I tryed to move sled buy pulling ski loop and they fold over ,is it me are this skis too flimsy ,I am sending them back and calling KJ motorsports (great guy to deal with)and getting a set of C&As also when I went two tighten the carbides they bend the ski I am not bashing just looking for some input thanks
