Anyone have any help in setting up an 06 rtx for snow drag. I want to show up and be respectful, I want to try and make believers out of these 2 stroke guys. 06 rtx 23 tooth gear, air box mod, transfer rod out, studded, strap in stock position. Anything I can do to help?

When you say transfer rod out do you mean removed or maxed out?

Usually a sled that wheelies doesn't accellerate as well. You loose forward momentum with wheelie momentum. Get your sled to spin 11000 from start to finish!

72 nova don't try to look cool and do wheelly's you will loose try to keep the front end down like dirk said take the air out of your front shocks

you want transfer but not too much.Put a white sec spring in.What are you rpms coming out of the whole some sled come out too low and like the inner rivet taking out on the weights

Is it a good idea to suck up the limiter strap one hole or from stock??

You want 10,000ish rpms coming out of the hole & climbing to over 10,500. Get engagement as high as you can with out a lot of spin. Wheelies look good but really slow you down a lot as previousley stated. Also as the guys stated you want to loosen the fron springs right off & just have them snug. good advice here. Here is a pick of my turbo RX-1 coming out of the hole at a local drag & this is what you want to see. That is about as good as it gets.

The sled does not wheelie hard at all, I have some track spin, does come out about 10-10200 and climbs fast, I am happy with the clutching.

I have floats, But thought the more air you let out of them the stiffer weight transfer wise it made the sled? Any advice on the limiter strap?

Nov, We did some local 660' drags last weekend and I had my floats set at 45lbs. which brings my a-arms level to ground. My transfer rod was set to max and limiter strap tighten up 1 hole from stock, I did well with that setup and my fat arse, but I was still pulling wheelies which cost me some time in the air. The Mach Z I was racing would come straight out of the hole, and if I did the same, I would have taken him 3 out of 3 in the 660' vs 1 out of 3.
