SnowGoer says Nytro faster then Viper

A Vector is much more aerodynamically correct. If a Vector beat my Viper I would not be ashamed and would just wait till trail got rough and see how the Vector does then. The two sleds serve different purposes thats all. If a Nytro beats my Viper the tools will come out. I would not be happy.

Man I remember last spring a few members pointing out the nytro was faster. This is corroborating those suspicions I guess.

Oh well. Maybe the yammi skid is more efficient than the cat skid.

Hahahaha .....I don't see that but maybe !!!

So let me get this right that arctic cats 1100na motor is more powerful then nytros because it can hit 100 in same chassis? :jump: :sled1:

The exact same Arctic Cat skid will do well in excess of a hundo with a 600 2 stroke with similar hp. And that would be on radar, not the dream-o-meter.

This thread is retarded. No one has ridden anything but a prototype. No one has any idea what they will do period. The snow goer article states that they were at elevation 6-7000'. They also say that the speeds were on the speedo if I remember correct. My Nytro speedo is off by a good 5 or 6 mph at 100 on gps and all my buddies with new cats are damn near dead on. So in real world speed it was showing closer then it appears in the article to the Nytro which has been out since 2008. A prototype machine is doing almost as well as a machine that has been out and being perfected for 7yrs! Pretty good I'd say and you know it only got better since last spring. Give it a rest. It will be fine.

The viper will be an awesome sled and will go plenty fast.

Who cares whether is beats the nytro or not, anyways. I don't think the viper was designed as a racer, anyways.

I know it will handle better than the Nytro, but I personally will not be happy if my son's 2008 FX Nytro beats my new sled with the same motor and I have the lighter chassis. The best of both worlds is what we should expect. Won't be long till we know the answer. Still excited as hell to get my hands on it ;)!

So he may get you on the straight line but when the trail get whooped out and twisty , well say good bye nytro all he will see is the snow flap.....lol.....
I really don't think the nytro will be faster than the viper !

Agreed, I am confident Yamaha engineering will get it dialed in the way we expect (-:

If they dont the people here will. At most I expect a clutch kit and a tune or tuner will be all needed worst case to beat a STOCK Nytro in a straight up drag race.
