Was going to post this in the "Guess what ... They are listening" sticky, but as I can't be certain that Yamaha is behind this marketing survey it probably belongs as a stand-alone topic for general discussion.
I bought a new sled (a 2010 model during the 2011 model year season) from a dealer and just received this follow-up survey. The reason I think Yamaha may be behind it is because the marketing company producing it is located in California (Yamaha's publications division is also in California) and many of the questions pertain to whether one has a preference for 4-stroke sleds.
Anyway, thought you guys (and gals) might be interested in seeing what they (Yamaha??) want to know about their customers.

Pretty in depth! Hey OVR4D, which dealer and where in MN are you located?
I say it is generic as Yamaha would not ask questions about the other major brands IMHO.

Looks like general unbiased pure market snowmobile research to me. Contact the marketing company if you're that curious.

this survey is not sponsored by a manufacturer - the company listed collects the info (they look for your purchase thru registration records). they compile date and then sell access to dealers and manufacturers. this company is similiar to RL Polk for car dealers.

.....a penny saved is a penny earned. Actually, I did quite well. I filled it out at work. Got the dollar from the survey org., and got paid from my company. What more could I ask for?
