So whos snowchecking

Would love to have one but would have to turbocharge the wallet..... I'm sure the sled is going to be awesome ,hope there are not some first year "bugs".Don't forget once you add picks, a bag , hand guards bigger wind shield? (cold at over 100 mph)......ect... ect... (Trying to talk myself out of one)...LOL.

Thats a big question.
Personally i like to get the best shocks available, and am willing to pay the difference to get them, but as i get older and have more bills, and a wife, and a second home, i have more of a need to save money.
It all comes down to want vs need.
is what you want more important than what you need?
Figure that out and you have your answer.

Do you guys think the shocks are worth the upgrade over the se to the le? What else is different between the two besides the shocks? I was kind of hoping that Yamaha was going to keep this engine for us and not give it to cats because we gave them our last engine, but there is a picture of a sticker that Arctic Cat has for A sticker that has a 999cc triple turboed 4 stroke. So I guess there goes that idea of it just being for us

Think i'm going to snow check Sidewinder B-TX!! Hopefully me and dealer can hash out a deal on the 2.25" track B-TX!! Very curious about the sled weight!!?

I am snow checking in RTX le tomorrow in blue and white, I am like a little kid and I can't sleep lol. The first thing I am doing is changing that hideous windshield for a 16 RT XLE windshield from last year if it fits

Looks like bodywork is narrower at knees. Hoping it allows a little more rider forward position.
I wonder if these panels could be swapped onto the Viper.........

When my dealer gets one I'm gona bring the scale up and weigh it. Thats gona be a big factor for me.

Weight has always been an issue ...seen all the good stats on this sled but nowhere is the weight listed. What's up with that?(kind of like a dating site?) lol

Fyi the writer at Arctic Insider got to ride the Cat version. This what he had to say:

"Military jet! That’s the closest description I can think of for the new 9000-series snowmobiles from Arctic Cat, each featuring the 998cc turbocharged triple from Yamaha.

The companies are saying 180 hp.

I’m saying it’s lag-free, smooth-as-silk, ultra-quiet (no burping waste gate) and utterly intoxicating to experience. The sensation is pure thrust until you’re WAY into the triple digits (I saw 118 mph indicated). The rush of acceleration is awe- and laughter-inducing, whether it’s from a dead-stop or while cruising along at 50 mph.

Drag racing against the Arctic Cat 8000 ZR (which by all accounts has been the quickest/fastest of the 800/850 models at Snow Shoot), it’s not even close. The Turbo smokes it.

This kind of horsepower isn’t for everyone. But for those who want that kind of power, this sled delivers like no production musclesled I’ve ridden in the past 25 years (and I’ve ridden them all).

Instant legend."

Well I have a little voices on each shoulder right now!!!lol
One on the left has devil like features and keeps whispering "Marc do it who cares what the nagging woman and the other side is saying"
And the one on the right also has devil like features but breaths fire is saying " Marc we bought 2 new sleds last year....bla bla bla" and I'm not hearing the rest of he speech
so this is where I'm at??????

Geese thanks!!! I think I'm seeing a divorce in my future!!

I waited for the second model year on the viper, I don't think I'm going to be able to do that this time around

Im considering it. Gonna depend on what i can get for a trade in on mine and what the final cost is on the snow check.
But the hard part is already done. Got the wifes approval

DITTO here!
