Does anyone know of anyone who makes solid motor mounts.
I can make them my self but it would require purchasing stock mounts and copying them, Hoping someone has already done the legwork.

NO,NO solid mounts!!!!! Ted, you can use a rubber damped torque limiter on the front of the motor, but do not put solid mounts in. You need all mounts and limiters to be rubber damped unless you like broken castings and foaming fuel bowls. Mike Knapp#17

ted ive got some really big chain here from one of our frame pullers. no just kidding i presume that thing hauls hard enuogh coming out that the motors trying to jump out of the chassis. solid mounts and harmonic frquencies may play hell on the beast if anchored solid.

I agree with Mike , I have never run solid mounts on any of my prostock sleds , it breaks things and rattles your hands off the bars .

I agree guys, I just happen to know a guy who is running them with no problems, the 4 stroke runs pretty smooth so It is not as much of a problem as the 2 strokes.
What lead me to thinking about solid mounts is I Put a Sled Pro alignment bar on my sled and found the motor back about 1/8-3/16 of an inch, so I loosened up all the mounts and pushed the motor forward and tightened things back down.
With the power levels we are running, I think the motor is moving more than it should, I could build a torque limiter pretty easy, I may go that route.
Thanks for the input.
Ted.

Ted, that is all we run on John's open-mod. Twin rubber straps bolted to each side of the front mount boss near clutch, to a turnbuckle. This will prevent too much movement.

Thats fine if you want to break the boss. Putting to much stress on one side and no give. Its not rubber mounted Ted. I wouldn't put that on my machine. Rubber belting on each side of the boss, then go to the turnbuckle. It need some cushion, even if its a drag sled. Mike
