Here are a few of us goofing off. I had to get towed in when my jackshaft bearing went. Although the motors are bullet proof the rest is just a plain old snowmobile and parts go the same. The guy on the Polaris was headed threw a field and could see the stakes of the trail hit a drop off at about 70. He hit so hard he blew the rear idlers off and bent the middle one over. Last pic we where playiong on a small jump for some pics and he decided we should try something bigger. Found this nice gradual mound of dirt about the size of a ranch house. The pic doesnt do it justice he went 42 feet before touching down and cleaning out his underwear. It was so gradual looking we never thought we would get that kind of air. I tried it after but was much more careful LOL. I tried a powder jump in a field didnt work out so well one ski hit something and tipped me over. All in all we had a good time. notice the first 2 pics that was in a matter of 5 minutes it went nuts. It went down about 10 degrees and started snowing while we changed out his wheels and tried to get it back to a shop. If you ever go north in Maine Daigle sports was great to us. Called the guy at home he wasnt in but his son opened the shop on a sunday took wheels off a new machine and put them on our buddies Polaris all and charged him one hours labor, now thats service.

Awesome pictures! Looks like a lot of fun.

So did anyone make it without breaking? :jump:

03 RX-1, You should have had a new jackshaft bearing in there before you left. to many seasons of abuse, and very little grease in the bearings to begin with. consider yourself lucky that it went this long!! Honk

Yah I know shitty design in my book and getting it out was a PITA I had to buy a slide hammer to get it out drive into Canada where a Yamaha stealer I mean dealer charged me way to much for the old styl bearing and lock collar. You would think you would be able to take the bearing holder out like other sleds and press the thing out of the housing. I think I may design an upgrade to it so they will work better and also include a grease fitting like Polaris.

Ron, how did you know your jackshaft bearing was shot? I think mine is grumbling a little bit, but when i took the secondary off the shaft feels tight. Did you feel it going bad?
