Someone explain bar


1 bar is supposed to be about 14.5 psi. 2 bars should be about 29 psi and so on... This is also based on absolute pressure. An example would be a 3 bar map sensor will read about 45 psi of absolute pressure. It is only good for about 30 psi above atmospheric pressure.
 
a "bar" used in determining pressure is the standard pressure (in pounds per square inch) at sea level above an absolute vacuum. 1 bar = 14.7 PSI therefore 14.7 x 1.3 = 19.1
