Going to be getting an enclosed trailer for my xtx. Just curious what people would recommend. As per brands, sizes and features to look for or stay away from.

Inline, side by side, clamshell? Lots of options. I have a 7x23 all aluminum Stealth trailer inline for my 2 sleds. I wouldn't go with anything other than what I have. Just plain convenient. Can get 3 in it, store all of my gear, tools, spare tire. Store sleds in it in off season. All depends on your budget.

How about steel vs. aluminum? I am shopping also. Usage for mine would be a couple trips up north and yearly trips to the dealership, also summertime storage. Can't imagine using it much more than 1000mi a year. What is every ones favorite brand??

I would go aluminum. Last longer looking better.
Btw, many trailer brands come out of the same factory. R&r and one of the big manufacture are next door with access to each other. Why pay for shipping? The manufacture was shipping truckloads of 80 percent finished trailers just to be detailed up by individual "manufactures" to put there logo on and that's why I decided on r&r. They are the cheapest!

Go all aluminum, steel will be heavier and in a couple years start to rust. I bought a rance renegade trailer, 16 ft. box and a five ft. v nose and can fit three 137 inch tracked sleds in. Also, buy a trailer that is high enough for you to stand in, 6 ft 6 in is good because you can go in with a helmet on and not hit your head on the roof. Galvanized axles are another good option. Good luck with your decision.

Got a Triton TC 167. Its got a 16' deck and can handle two sleds in a staggered posiition.
Pros - big enough for 2 sleds, but not too beefy when you are moving one around.
All aluminum.
Can walk around inside (head needs to be ducked if you are >6')
Light,
Trailers really easy, barely know its there.
Uses Triton lock downs on front skis.
I can have two sleds in, secured in well under 5 minutes and rolling down the road.
Cons - not super cheap but its affordable.

I picked up a mission 12 ft hybrid cheap and put in superclamps. That combo works out pretty slick. Il always have the clamps In my trailers from now on. Only downfall is for some reason mission tapers the trailer from bottom to top. Once sled is half in I get off and push it against the wall then ride all the way in

+1. I have a Triton PR 24 and this thing tows like a dream fully loaded with 4 sleds. I pad $12K OTD for it new.
Always get a bigger trailer than you think you need.

I have a united 20'+5'v trailer steel frame 8'6" wide. Bought it new last summer for $9800.00 locally but dealer was motivated to sell lol as he had had it for 6 months. I do not mind the steel frame.
I did have an inline avalanche by avenger 25' trailer 6' wide before this one but we seemed to outgrow it and it got old/weak after 15 years. It fit my apex and brothers war really well but I did have 3 136" sleds in it on trips before.

Not meaning to highjack the thread but was talking to a friend the other day and he said that if I was shopping for a trailer to stay away from the trailers with the wheels under the deck because of tipiness in windy conditions and are harder to tow in general.

About sums up my thoughts!
I have an 18' + 5' V-nose inline. Seems to actually pull easier than my last clamshell! Get one bigger and taller than you would think. Mine is a 6' 6" tall inside, and I have the 7.5' wide model. Love the room.
