Studding XTX LE 137

I'd like to install the iGrips screw studs in my 2016 Apex X-TX 1.75 (Backcountry track). Does anyone know if there is adequate clearance to do so and if the sled comes with tunnel & exchanger protection on it? Sled is stock. I am planning on the st-24r studs which will extend 5mm or 3/16 beyond the paddles.

Yes, there are stock protectors but some have welded an additional plate to prevent the c-shaped bracket that supports the tunnel protectors from collapsing.

Also, I believe @MrSled installed iGrips in his Backcountry back when he had his 18 Apex XTX.
