I couldn't find anything here using the search. Trying to change the plugs, got the radiator out of the way, kind of, and can see the plug wires with the funky tops. Any ideas for how to get the plugs out? Thanks in advance.

one thing about changing the plugs that wasn't posted here, is that you have to disconnect the wires running to each coil first. then pry the whole coil out very carefully. the plugs reside deep down in the cylinder head. fun fun fun. good thing it went 2500 miles without having to change them!

You have to take the seat and gas tank off and practically halfways disassemble the sled. My uncle has one. I don't see how it would take 4 hours to remove a bunch of plastics, seat, and gas tank though. It can't be any worse than a nytro, I believe it's the same process for them. With the Pro it's only ake out the coils and use the special plug wrench to get them out isn't it??? That's all there is on my Rx.

There is that radiator to unclip and move out of the way. It's sharp...my hand looked like hamburg after I got the first coil out. It's not that bad once you know what to do but after coming from Polaris 2-strokes I was used to alot of room under the hood. Things sure are alot tighter on the new sleds.

I'd like to know why Yamaha has been going this way with the engine compartment. Seems like the last sensible layout was the RX1. Change the plugs? Ok, just yank the coils off and drop a socket down the hole -- takes all of 10 seconds per plug. What's the deal?
