Hey finally success I am sure glad I took everything there was no way in hell I was going to get that off on the sled even on the bench I had to heat it up and beat it off with a hammer and chisel. Now that I have gotten this far and she is all apart what do you guys suggest for maintenance and possible upgrades? I am for sure going with extrovert drivers. The rest of the bearings are in excellent shape exceppt for some of the wheels in the the skid.

How many miles on the sled?? Extroverts would be a nice upgrade.

6500 miles and I already have an appointment to change the drivers to extroverts. Thinking about reverse as well.

It woudnt hurt to change the seals and bearings in the chain case as long as its ripped a part too.

I was thinking that today when I was checking the bearings out they are pretty easy to change right now and I might as well do the jackshaft bearing as well. With extroverts new bearings / Hyfax in skid and an oil/filter change to boot then I know I am good to go for another 6500 miles. I will most likely need a new track by then.

This is the most I have ever had to work on my sled for repairs since owning it. What a deal we members get here from this site I mean we should all be VIP members no questions asked. By doing this work and finding the correct parts and know how to do the repair with the help from other helpful members I saved lots of money. From finding used parts and the know how to install them it makes being a VIP member here a steal. Thank You Tom for this site! :rocks: :rocks: ;)! ;)!

What is the best kind of extrovert drivers to get and I am clipping my track fully. I need the 8 tooth.

This is the reason why I bought a life time membership.

Extrovert drivers I think mine are Wahls drivers I bought them used off Frostbite and still running them. I think Royal distributers sells a similar driver made by mirco belmont.

Any 8 tooth extrovert will work right? The ones on the drive shaft now are 8 tooth/cog

Ya any 8 tooth would work. Some guys prefer certain brands the wahls are the only ones I've ever used but I'm sure there all fairly similar.

I serviced the speedo bearing and secondary side jackshaft bearing on my wifes RX-1 for preventative maintenance. Now I am positive I put all the washers in the right place on the secondary when putting it back together. Is it normal to have the secondary slide on the shaft in and out about 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch when back together and the bolt tightened back up? I checked the washers on my RX1 mountain its not back together yet and the washers are the exact same for it when I put it together.

Well its finally back together and cant wait to try it out next winter. I geard up to 24/40 with extroverts, new bearings, sliders, all three back wheels and two idlers, speed sensor from an Apex that works just fine in a rx1, changed oil in motor and chaincase. Looking to change the helix but I dont know which one to try yet.

Its setup as a open field flatlander now and its not going to the mountains so I gave it some extra legs.
