I have a2012 nytro xtx I am running stock ski with stud boy duces bars and this has a lot of heavy steering effort I am looking for a ski that will help take some of that away I also had a set of pilot on it witch where ok steering effort wise but they would dart like crazy so for the one that are running spilt rail will they fix the heavy steering effort and track and not dart
I've tested Split Rails before they came to market....hands down the best ski on the market for the Nytro. Light and precise steering...just pricey

They will cut the steering effort in half and virtually eliminate the darting.
Relax the preload on the front shocks and it will be very smooth ride with those skis. Takes the nervousness right out of it.
Best upgrade I made to my nytro.
Have ran them now for 9000km.

I have not. Just going by what I have read up. And looking at the design it makes sense, there isnt very much ski area.
If they work for someone and the have the cash to spend, great. But for a ski that has downsides, just commentting that it is alot of $$$$$. Might as well get a new front end kit for a similar price, sell the stock a arms and spindles, and use that money to buy a better set of skis

Those skis work great in loose snow on the trail.
They predominantly area a trail ski, but float in fresh snow fine.
The more tore up trails are, those skis like it.

I love my split rails in any condition except soft powder. They do sink but working on a fix for that. As for everything else they are amazing. So much so that I bought a second pair. Worth every penny. Shane.

I'm not impressed with what I've seen of the split rails so far. They have difficult ski pins/bushings to work on, I've seen a bent spindle and they seem to have a lot of push in loose conditions. Way to much money for the little you may gain in performance. I'd rather put the money into a new a-arm/spindle setup. Curves out perform the Split rails on the trail and float much better in the deeper snow.
I ride with Curve ski's but had a chance to ride a friends sled with the Split Rails(SRXPERT) and was very impressed with them. For on trial riding I found tehm much better than the Curves. Much more precise turning and a lot easier. If you are a trail rider then they are a good ski.

I replaced my stock with the tuners last month on my '12 XTX. What a world of difference! No more darting and the ski lift went away.
help me to understand changing to tuner skis got rid of the ski lift
