Hi guys, Im going to change over my clutch springs soon, any tips when removing the primary and secondary?
I've got a clutch puller and thats about it.
Can I remove the springs with out pulling off the main units?

Just pull off the 6X10mm primary cover bolts. Yamaha uses real wimpy primary springs so it easy to do on the sled.

You don,t have to pull the middle bolt. The cover will come right off with out touching the primary clutch bolt holder thingee!

You can change the helix & secondary wrap with out removing secondary. My doo buds are jealous. The new doo,s have to remove the jackshaft to change a helix.

When putting the primary cover back on align the balance mark's (X) on inside of the cover and spider. A tip for the driven is to put a clamp on to hold the shiv's together so you can prewind and align the three stud's at the same time, Makes it a little easier with having only two hand's. kviper
