Is there any benefit in just installing the soft start spring from BOP and nothing else ? Or is it a waste of money ?

Yes, it will get your take off RPM down where it belongs. But spend the 15 bucks and get the primary spring shims from Thunder Products and put 4mm worth in with the BOP spring

Ok what does that do stingray ?

increases spring finishing rate and helps with clutch function. Easy to put in or take out if you are the only one I know of that the shim does not work for.

Would u recommend getting thunder products clutch kit to ? Or not for a stock unit

There are many good clutch kits out there but I have not tried thunder products so I cannot say good or bad. Many use COTC and that info is in the FAQ at the top of this forum. When we went to turbo I went OSP magnetic adjustable weights and really liked them. I still think COTC is best for stock sleds but are only adjustable by rivets so there is that.

But everybody has what they like and they have an opinion and it can be hard to sort out......so I suggest you read this thread from guys describing there clutch setup and results. http://www.ty4stroke.com/threads/post-your-clutch-setup.132429/

Like Stingray just said....many good clutch kits out there. Do your homework, search the site and see which kit best suits you and your riding.

I have the Thunder Products Big Venom Kit in my sled and it's awesome.

Do I still need the primary spring shims from thunder products if I get there big venom viper kit ? Or r they included in there kit ?
