I HAVE PRETTY MUCH A STOCK 03 RX-1. I DID UPGRADE THE LINKAGES. WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE SPRINGS THAT I SHOULD UPGRADE TO? I HAVE MINE ALL THE WAY SCREWED IN AND IT STILL DOES NOT HANDLE GOOD. WHAT IS A GOOD DEAL FOR SPRINGS AND THE 13MM BAR? ANY IDEAS WHERE I SHOULD GET THEM? THANKS

The tighter you crank the springs, the WORSE the handling. What you need are 130 -150 pound per inch straight-rate springs.

PLEASE EXPLAIN THE PHILOSOPHY BEHIND THE TIGHTENING OF THE FRONT SPRINGS AND BAD HANDLING. I WAS THINKING THE TIGHTER I PUT THEM, THE LESS TIPPY IT WOULD BE?

The more load and it rides on the spring and not the sway bar. No give to the front suspension and it uses the ski as a pivot. I tried the springs and longer links with the springs backed off and it was ok. Now I have Fox Floats and the 13mm sway bar and its awsome. You want the preload on the front springs off so the a arms are parellel to the ground with skis on the ground.
You will not believe the difference when you get it right.

it,s a simple job . just suport the front of the sled and remove the shock,s and unscrew the ajusting coller,s and put it back to gether.

First off, DON'T YELL.
Second, the weight of the front of the sled is the same regardless of what you do with the springs, so when it is sitting on the ground, the springs will be under the same tension no matter how they're adjusted.
This leaves us with two possible explanations for better handling with the front end lowered; 1) lower center of gravity. 2) suspension geometry being less susceptible to body roll when lower.
Now ask yourself this; what corners better at high speeds - a formula 1 race car or a jeep with 40 inch wheels? And which one has a lower center of gravity?

I WOULD LIKE TO PUT MY TWO CENTS IN THIS ONE-------------MY WARRIOR WAS A LITTLE TIPPY IN THE CORNERS, ALL I DID WAS TIGHTEN THE FRONT SPRINGS EXACTLY THREE TURNS, IT MADE A BIG DIFFENENCE. I AM SURE IF YOU CONTINUE TO TIGHTEN THEM, AT SOME POINT THE SWAY BAR WOULD BECOME INEFFECTIVE. I PLAN TO GO TO A 12 OR 13 MM BAR AND AT THAT TIME I WELL LOOSEN THE SPRINGS BACK UP AND TRY IT.
