Just wondering if there is a better option for clutching for a stock 2021 SRX, sled works like it should but there has to be more performance to be had from upgrading the clutch components.

If read back post from 2017 till now you will find all kinds of answers to your question.. Just about anything you can think of has been posted and improvements made to all sidewinders…

Yes, i was looking for something SRX specific as im quite sure clutching for a regular Sidewinder isnt going to work great on a SRX with a 1” track.

It all goes hand and hand, suspension, traction, shock settings , transfer blocks, spring settings and clutching.. good luck on your quest…

Clutch: I used a completely stock primary & Dalton Blk/Org secondary spring @ 80° W/35° helix w/stock 8jp belt for years. I put 4,000 miles on two belts and have never blown one.
Lastly; I'm positive someone may recommend a different secondary helix such as a 39/35° and a better primary spring combo.

Like stated, a good sled requires more work then just clutching.

Thank you,
Sled has 4000kms on it and im thinking about freshening up the clutching, so any info is appreciated. Dalton industries is a local company so its easy to get my hands on their components.

Oh, nice... congratulations to your new sled. Sweet looking piece
At the top of this forum there's some locked posts talking about maintenance and other things. Give it a look in your spare time.

Thank you, i bought the SRX for my son, i have a Thundercat. We had our first outting together yesterday. Its hard to believe how different the sleds feel, the yamaha is totally stock but really pulls hard, the 1” track has to go though.. i didn’t realize how much a 1.25 bites and stops in comparison to the 1” lug.
Ive been reading through all the posted info, great site!
Yamaha owners are lucky to have so much info available.

The one thing I found to be consistent is, if you change one thing you may not be happy with its results until you change something else.
Example: hotter clutching could produce more Track spin. Now what?
Look into that 39/35° helix, Dalton B/0 spring and clutch alignment.
