stage 2 supercharger

I am looking at running a stage 2 supercharger on my nytro. Is there anyway of dialing it down to run on 92 octane or fuel additives? Just wondering what most guys do when you are trail riding, and there is no racing fuel near you on a 150-200 mile day? I could get fuel caddies, and keep some racing fuel in there fr a 50/50 blend; but that would only last so long. Is it something that can be changed in the programmers, or is it a pulley change? New at this so I thought I would ask. The guy I would be buying it from used it in the mountains, and I want to use it on a trail sled. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated guys. Love my summer projects :Rockon:

the used charger I am looking at us a stage 2 not a 1. I know I can get a stage 1 to work. Just trying to see if a 2 will work for me and save some $. Thanks again for the help

no I have not. I am definitely a newbie when it comes to boost. Any help would be appreciated. Heard gapping gaskets could be a little hairy?
 
I'm running stage II on my Nytro @ 17psi on pump fuel and water meth with the addition of head studs. Taking it easy for now until I can do the internals over the summer.

I was reading up on these kits, and they seem really remarkable. They should save you a lot of money in the long run on racing fuel. I was wondering what size resevoir you are running since the Nytro is so tight under the hood area? Also How flexable are one of these meth systems with the supercharger; to turn down the boost for trail riding? I don't thinkl you can? Once it is set it is set right? I talked to the lady at snow performance and she recommended the stage three Boost meth cooler system with the safeinjector. She said you can get by with the stage two, but te three has so many more options.
The guys at MPI said they have not seen or installed one of these on their systems. Thanks again guys, and thanks for the cool suggestions

Here is what I did on my TNytro. Dave at Hurricane racing fabbed me up a nice aluminum tank that fit nicely in the nosecone. I mounted the pump behind and kind of under the aluminum tank. The plastic tank on the clutch side gravity fed to the front tank.

This setup was much more capacity than I required but it worked flawlessly and was one of a kind. Plus you don't need a head shim which is big $.

Meth works. Sit down and figure out how long it would take to pay off the meth kit rather than buying race fuel. It will be paid off quick!

Where you concerned about hitting something, or did you have a special bumper on the front of that? I have allready twisted the aftermarket bumper up, and had to replace it. If it was the stock one I think I would of messed up that area for sure. I own a metal fab shop, and will have to take a good look at the mounting areas available. Any difference between Daves kit, and the other one from snow performance? If so what are they. Thanks again. This is going to be a fun summer project ;)!

This is going to sound crazy but the tank actually helped save some front end parts.
I dropped my sled 10 feet straight down onto some ice and the bumper and front area took most of the force. The tank actually helped keep the bumper straight and kind of worked as a brace for the very front of the subframe so it couldn't twist so much.
Dave's kit is the Snow Performance kit except that he will set you up with the right nozzles, hose lengths, tank size etc. and tons of expertise and knowledge. Can't say enough good about him!
 
Any problems with belts breaking from the extra horse power and hitting the resevoir, or breaking the resevoirs?
