I just read that bender recommends the installation of low compression pistons and diffrent camshafts with the stage 2 kits. Are all you turbos doing this or are most of you running the stage 1 kits?

I have a stage 2 system, stock pistons and stock cams. Piston changes are recommended for the stage 3 system.

I believe that what you are referring to is running high boost (10psi+) with a stage 2 system. Then pistons are recommended.

I am currently using 6lb. boost with pump premium, 10lb. with a blend (20%)of race fuel.

Ditto except I run 25-30% with 10lbs of boost.

Also makes a difference how long you hold it on higher boost. A 1000' feet is not a big deal, but start running a mile and you better have good fuel and or a gasket and or low comp pistons. I like boost so I run 100% 100 octane Sunoco GT race gas and have the 57/1000 head gasket from Cometic. No problems so far at 12.5#'s and sustained high speed running(120 MPH+). Surprisingly the belt has held up so far. I think I may put a new one on just to be safe.
