What is the temperature reading for the 135 standerd main jet at sea level? Like to know from + to - for the main jet tuning calculator? Thanks again. :?

The book says 135 is for 0 to 60 degrees
137.5 is -20 to 0
140 is -40 to -21

i dont own an rx-1 but i own a srx & was putting single filters on it.& those call for a fatter jetting but im going to be running it in the drags this summer and was wondering what would be a good jetting to go down to with the filters to make it run right.& how much fatter should i go back to in the winter to get it to run right?

Mikuni sells a main jet calculator, its not perfect but it will get you in the ballpark for temp. and alt. changes. You need a good baseline jetting spec to start with. Its very simple, just a cardboard sliding guide.

I jetted up when it was cold and thought it ran better,but now have 132.5 on order have been hearing that stock and above r to lg.for most of our riding even at sea level un less u run wfo at -35 and i dont want to be on anything when its that cold.

Srxbully. If you are going to run without an air box, you are going to want to jet up big time. I would think start in the 160's at least in the winter.

Hi guys, good to see you all back on here again. I ran 130 mains all winter from 6000 to 9000 and they worked good in all temps from -10 t0 60. This engine isn't fussy when it comes to jetting, at least not like the two smokes. It's deffinitley a "Plug and Play" machine. Also, the most fuel I have used in one day of riding is 4.5 gallons in the mountains. About 70 mountain miles, playing on big hills and boondocking. That's 15.5 mpg.

This jetting game seems to not make complete sense. On one side of the coin go up to 137.5 for 20-30 degrees for better performance, and the other says to jet doun. But I would like to know what to do in july when it's in the 80's.

I never changed a jet this year it was great not having to. I have always felt there is more to gain in clutching. My sleds are allways jetted fat & happy not lean & mean. 8)

Iran 137.5's most of the year. Once the temps got above 40 F that was too rich so I went to 135.0's which was an improvement. I think they run 132.5's in the R-1 bike. Iwould go to 130.0 for July and go from there.

yeah i figured that but dont the warmer weather call for a down change in jet size? should i just try the stock jetting (00 srx) with the filters in the warmer weather & try it?i can run test but dont really wanna buy a million jets.

I opened up the top of the airbox on my SRX about twice the opening and burned it down with 152.5 main jets at 30 degrees. So air flow definitely impacts that motor. I also fount that the SRX likes fuel so I would start rich and wouk down. Jets are alot cheaper than pistons. Iwas running 157.5's with my big bore kit.

well tell me this? is it really worth it to be competitive in the grags to run filters or to keep the box?
