This is my second season with my Apex. Last year whenever I turned the key it always started no matter how cold. I had the sled in for service a few weeks ago. When I start it first in the Morning now (Temp -15C) it starts, stumbles and shuts off at least once or twice before it runs. After it starts it seems fine. Any thoughts. Also done it once when around 0C

Mine was doing that too plus idling poorly after I ran it a while. Turns out its the Hauck Fuel programmer that is bad. Do you have one of these?

Make sure if they took your airbox off that they connected the sensor on the left side of the airbox...

Not sure if they had it off. They adjusted the cables and synced the injectors. I have to bring it in next week to have a new throttle cable put on. LAst season my regular one was fine with the Mtn riser, now after adjustments it is too short.

You know the old saying...if it ain't broke don't fix it!
Why did you get it SYNC, was it running bad?

No. The dealer said it was part of the first service for the sled.

Something smells FISHY your cable was ok last year with your actual set up and now its hard to start and your cable is to short...hummmm do you have another dealer near buy to get a second opinion, sounds to me that they did somthing wrong and made it worst! my dealer told me if she idles and runs fine with no hesitation he won't SYNC or atempt to fool around with the INJECTION system and throttle bodies it gets very touchy when you fool around with these fuellies...

Closest alternate dealer is 2 hours away. They said after breakin that it should be done and that I would notice better performance after it was done. Last season I had no issues with the cable. Now when I turn hard left the throttle advances and the TORS kicks in. For the cable I figured that it was streatched a bit last season and now with it adjusted properly I have trouble. Was just going to get the MTX cable installed.
I haven't talked to the dealer about the hard starting yet. That's one for Monday morning.

07 Attak behaving the same this season. Last two seasons it would fire up first try. Now it takes three or four tries at least. Anyone have special tricks in starting in the cold. Holding the throttle part way open, keeping the key on for longer.... I know about the cycling of the fuel pump three times before starting. I will change the plugs this week to see what happens.

Syncing throttles on fuel inection is a good thing to do, BUT....the dealer MUST have the correct machine, simple vacumn gauges is not accurate enough.
Experence has also taught me that syncing the throttles fisrt thing in the year will result in inaccuracies (most likely due to old gas) I prefere to have the sleds rode for at least a day before performing a FI sync.

Sounds too simple but put some fuel injector cleaner thru it. Can't hurt !!!

Well first thing I need here is snow to do anything. Gonna give it a full tank of fresh gas and a good run first. Dealer had it again last week to install a mountain throttle cable. They went over the injectors agin and said it was all working correctly.

I was running into similar issues last winter, turned out it was moisture in the fuel tank, now every 4-5 tanks I add a bottle of isopropal pretty much cleared up the staring issues when cold.
also i had a problem for warm restarts, found a cracked hose in the idling circuit, cleaned up everything and cleaned the t-bodys with air intake cleaner, so far it's working good.

Same here - put some "good quality" dry gas (with isopropal) in the tank. No problem since.
