I have a 2006 attak with astarting problem. ocassionally when I turn the key i only get a click, like low voltage or a relay problem. I just put in a new battery and have the same problem. Is there a relay in the starting circuit that could be gone? any advice on what the problem might be?

Check the ground cable on the battery.
Also, if you have a voltmeter, check the battery voltage when you get the click. If it doesn't drop a lot your not getting the voltage to the starter

YAttak,
Please take the time to update your location in your profile, thanks!

check fuses right by the battery check the big green one my blow and that what my problem was. It has a rubber cover on it and a 10amp then a 40amp and 10amp fuse. mine was the big 40 amp that was blown

I would put my money on the starter relay. The starter relay is attached to the side of the metal battery box/cage (between battery box and oil tank) attached with the black rubber band looking thing that slides onto battery box, has the 30A fuse in the top. They corrode internally and warrant replacement. New one is about $50-60.

here is the part# 5PS-82151-00-00 it was under $3.00 US it is hard to find on the parts catalog this is for the 40amp fuse that what they use not 30amp

if you look at the starter relay there is a 40 amp fuse in the middle on relay it is not show in the parts right. like crew is showing part #11 it only shows the 2 10 amp fuses but the 40 amp is there also on the relay and it is covered with a rubber strap. Why they shows the 40 amp in the main fuse box because it is not there. I have wrote my friend at Yamaha to let them know of the problem with parts catalog. hope this explained it better
