Still having fuel pump problems

I had to replace both of my fuel pumps 2 years ago. I bought them from Barnofparts for $15. They solved my problems. Call Barnofparts and cancel your Yamaha order.

I also purchased an entire carb rack for $200 from BOP for backup parts. It paid off this year when I tore a slide diaphragm.
I have not ordered a second fuel pump yet, going to finish this year with the old fuel pump. Like 4strokeluvr said, I am going to install a fuel shut off in the vacuum hose, so it will not leak over night. I will see what I am going to do about it this summer, whether I am going to go with a used fuel pump, or brand new oem.

Metallicat, I do hear what you are saying though, thanks for the input!!! Going to get the bulk head saver kit from them this summer for it.

I have to rebuild the fuel pump on my 07 Yamaha Rhino 660, I found a mikuni diaphragm kit on eBay for 23 bucks, the pumps look identical other than the positioning of the inlet and outlet. I will try to use this kit on my sled and see what happens.

Huh, people told me these fuel pumps where non-rebuild able. I will be posting some pics, as the carbs are fully adjusted, and my dad picked up a fuel shut off, and the hosing. I got clear hosing to, so after it sits over night, I will be able to see how much gas would have leaked into the motor over night. I am kind of interested to see how much gas is leaking into the motor over night.

The pictures of what I had to do/ make. The new fuel pump is on the bottom, and the one that leaks is on the top. I have shut off valve, to keep the gas from leaking in to the motor. As of right now, this is how I got to use it. Going to get another new fuel pump for it this summer, but at least I still can ride it like it is, might not look the best, but it works for now. I can shut to valve off, with out taking the hood/ side panel off which makes life easier. Thanks again 4strokeluvr for telling me about this.

Just an idea that popped up in my head. ;)! DId you get the carbs back on that your dealer adjusted?

Yup, it is working very well!!! They where out of spec, from what the Yamaha dealer said. So they adjusted the floats to spec, and then bench tested them, to make sure they do not leak gas by the valves. And they did not leak, so the carbs are not the issue any more. Just at some point I need another new fuel pump. I want to attach the shut off valve a little better. Like I said I just got to get though the rest of this winter, with the set up right now.
