Still Waiting on SE????

Quick question: Is anyone else still waiting on their SE.

I am still waiting on my SE from the dealer with no delivery date that they can tell me. I keep getting the run around as we where the sled is at. Been getting the two week thing for two months. Now they will not call me back, even when they tell me they will call me back later the same day. This dealer is the worst I have ever worked with and will never recommend them to anyone or do business with them again.

So I think they screwed something up with the order for the sled, but will not come out and say it. They have said a few things even back in Oct. when I called to just check in. They came out with out me asking anything other than what does the timing look like. Here is the list of comments I have received without asking: "you can't get your deposit back" (I never asked for it - odd they would say that back in Oct.) "I will most likely trade with another dealer and when the one I ordered get here I will give that one to them" (tells me that something's up...this was a special order, very few dealers will have one to do this with)


Sorry to vent...but the customer service from this dealer is BS..just tell me you screwed up and I will except that, give me a good deal on something else and make good for your mistake. But to call me back one time out of 12 over 4 months is just crap when they tell me specfic days and time when they will call and don't, is crap.

I am going to call Yamaha CS tomorrow...but wanted to see if anyone else was also in the same boat.

My SE showed up at the dealer on Friday. I will pick it up this week.

My dealer called me last Tue. and said that my sled showed up in Yamahas wharehouse and it should be at the dealership this week. But yeah I 'm still impaciently.

It was just delivered, has the 5th year warranty, and as far as I know, is still available due to a buyer getting injured and having to back out?

Thanks everyone. So it might be the case that it is still in the warehouse. If that is the case..I just wish this dealer would provide better comunication. I guess time will tell.

Man there has been an SE on the floor not sold at my dealer for about 3 weeks and I'm at the extreme end of the middle of nowhere. If it is here, it should be everywhere else by now I figure.

banks and finance companies have put the hurt on dealer showrooms..........does your dealer still have lots of 08 inventory laying around, he's still paying the juice on it and might be in trouble.

tough times for dealers that don't have deep pockets. Have an honest chat with the owner, forget the sales girl.

No, they do not have may sleds...the dealer does not do a lot of sled volume...which could also be apart of the issue. But it should be here by now, I would think.

Again, last Friday he told me that he would call me today with a 100% clear answer...and I come to find out they are closed on Mondays. What an a$$

I finally got some good news. me and a friend (his son also ordered one the same time I did.) stopped by the dealer today and low and behold their was a Roadway truck sitting there with our sleds on it. the salesman said they should be ready before the end of the week. I know they are our sleds because we are the only ones that ordered SE's. Anyway I hope you get yours soon. I will post some pictures when I get mine. also the salesman said that they where on backorder. I still haven't heard what that was about. If anyone knows something other than a battery issue, please let us know.

call corporate Yamaha. I did and they were very helpful. I got my sled just about to the day they said I would.

Dont waste any time call yamaha, get a case # and tell them you will call every day to get an update when you will have it. still getting the run around then pick a day one week from your call and tell them the sled better be in on say the 15'th if not in get a $200. accesory credit. give them another week, no sled yet demand your money back and watch that the sled will be at your dealer in two days tops!! you must twist arms and tell yamaha your giving them 11K for this, not $500.

Hi all, I'm new to the TY forum. You can add me to the list of people still waiting for their SE. Dealer told me it was in process. Hopefully it's on a truck making it's way to PA.

Well I walked on the deal with that dealer. Just could not stand to give him my money. There were other dealers in the area with sleds some with other SE's and XTX's with much better deals, no wait, and were happy to give good service to get my business.
