Reeling in the Mach Z on short runs, doesn't seem like it would be in my favor.
I suppose it's time to add an equalizer and ordered the stingray mods front spring from Bill Mohr.
Any insight is appreciated.

Stingray MODS Front Skid Shock Spring. BACKORDER until April, see updated spring
Spring designed by me and made for the front skid shock on Yamaha and Cat snowmobiles, manufactured in Texas from American steel. Replaces the Cat spring that allows too much weight on the skis. The Stingray MODS spring lightens the front and allows for weight transfer to the rear the chassis...

Much prefer the heavier Cat Spring, rides better, handles better and doesnt bottom out on the rough stuff.

I was looking for a spring that would be good in all trail conditions. Enough ski pressure to corner good, soft enough for the trail chop and stiff enough for the big moguls.
The Cat 160/260 spring does that when adjusted for your weight.
I couldn't get all that with the 160lb spring on the hpg shock. Maybe I just need a better shock...
