I know that a lot of you guys have many different modifications done to your, but what I want to know is how a STOCK RX-1 compares to the big 700 and 800 twins as far as performance goes? Thanks Guys

I had no problem with a piped 800XC on a 04 warrior. I'm not sure of the year, but it was before they had power valves.

Holeshot is everything. If they get it they will shut down before you have the chance to blow by them. Clutching is key. Stock clutching is setup for the general user. It doesn't take into account for traction products that may have been added or driver weight. If your RX-1 clutching is matched to your setup you shouldn't have a problem with any of them with the exception of possibly the zr9 (I have never ran one) and the new 1000 machZ which by all accounts should be the fastest sled (stock) on the snow this season.

Let me put it this way lots of guys think their fast. :moon: Every Cat I've lined up against all always mutters the same words that's the first time I've ever been beat. :4STroke: 8)

My sled (04 warrior with no studs and stage two clutching NOT WELL TUNED) against my buddys 03 zr800 with studs and 1 1/4 track!

He got me off the line(+4 sleds lengths) then i quickly realed him in beating by 4+ sleds!

Needless to say he was impressed!! But he says Stock F7s totally smoke his zr800!

Bone stock RX can hold it's own for certain types of races. The stock ramps leave a lot to be desired in the holeshot/midrange, but have pretty decent top end. If you're riding an 03/04 shorty and racing out of the hole against the bigger twins remember that you're on a heavier sled with poor hook-up (and conservative clutching). Not a recipe for success. The new monoshock with the Ripsaw track should help quite a bit though, and the Warrior seems to fare a whole lot better when racing from a standstill. The RX has pretty long legs up top, but again, with the stock clutching it's going to take you a while to get there. My guess is that the stock '05's (properly set up) are going to trade wins with the stock 900 twins. And of course, as Suisse mentioned above, there are some twins that a stocker is just never going to run with - bottom, mid, or top. I would avoid white XC7's with BPE logos on them, the new Mach, and Cat guys that get a X-mas card from Jeff Simons.

My dads 04 Rx-1 shorty didn't have a problem with any twins last year i thought the rx actually has pretty good holeshot seeing how big it is.I raced a 04 Rev 800 h.o it wasent a problem i can't wait to see how those machs run should be pretty dang good who knows i never did like twins there all go till about 80 then they pooter out when the big tripples and the big 4 stroke keeps right on going!

8) stock rev 800ho I believe a stock rx1 will take (renegade) after 80 it just doesn't have it. As for the the green they do run like a #itch stock, 600 & 700's. How well do those 600's or 700's run with jeff's kits? Don't have a problem now with stockers just wondering what to expect next year. :yam:

A guy who I was talking to this weekend told me that a well clutched RX-1 and a ECP kit will run with the new Mach Z. Should I beleive it?

Unless he was a Doo engineer and rode one how would he know :?

A friend of mine that works for a dealership PART TIME told me that the zr900 was beating skioos new 1000 at the grass drags!

Take this with a grain of salt as he was not at the drags.. this is just what he heard!

Every new high performance sled from, every manufacturer requires dialing in to get the most out of it. Don't pay any attention to any claims until all have a chance to dial in the new hardware.
