Thinking about doing ulmer air box mod. From what I hear stock 2007 apex is rich and doing air box mod brings air fuel ratio more to where it should be. Would like to hear from anyone who has done this and has before and after air fuel ratios.

You are correct, and on the right track.Thinking about doing ulmer air box mod. From what I hear stock 2007 apex is rich and doing air box mod brings air fuel ratio more to where it should be. Would like to hear from anyone who has done this and has before and after air fuel ratios.
BTW the airbox mod will not significantly affect the a/f ratio.

I did the air box mod and an Excell exhaust. Plugs always looked good. On the downside it made no difference in performance. Just more noise output.
