OK guys i want to keep my stock airbox on my new attak, plus install holtzman nitrous, does it attach right up to airbox, and fogg the inside of it,or does it hook directely to throttle bodies,i never hooked one up before, and a friend said the kind that foggs the box is not as good at getting the exhact amount into the carb bodies,as injected directely into them, any info would help, and please exsplain in detail. Thanks Pete :o|

snowbeast - Holtzmans kit is figured out to give the correct amount of horse. I have the nozzles in the airbox, and you could say it fogs it. I do have the nozzles pointing directly to the throats tho. Holtzman and I will be experimenting on my Attak this early summer, and will let you know where is the best spot to mount.

If kept under 75 horse, the fuel injection "should" componsate for the lean condition, and richin the fuel injection. So, that means less items to mount, and less on kit prices.

But this is all new, so bear with us.

Thanks Terry, thats great news as the attak is what i am getting, now how soft do ya need to set up your clutchs,so as not to overrev, cause i dont want it to be a pig when unarmed lol

I have the secondary set at 60%, and more weight on the HH's to rev at 9,800

NOS

KB,

I may be interested in you system, I'll need a litle guidance from NOSPRO to see what he thinks... I haven't used nitrous since we ran a short block Chevy 400 in a hatchback Chevy Vega back in 1978, ran 10.80's on the bottle, not bad for a couple of back yard mechanics, my bro and I.

Waterdog

PS How much?

BLUEDOG & anyone who wants help with their nitrous....I am here to help.

Thanks terry, now how does your sled feel w/out the NOS engaged, stock hp does it feel sluggish at 9800rpms??

Sluggish,............... NO WAY!

I found out that the RX1 provides peak torque at that rpm. This is what I found out on the asphalt, and from a couple of aftermarket clutch guys.

so what would i have to do to correctly run a nos system on my rage? i was lookin at a few nos kits and they were around 800-900 dollars with somethin like 30horse gain. now on the boss noss kit there was a 1 nozzle kit for 30hp and a 2 nozzle kit for 30 hp? or is it 60hp bcuz it has 2 30hp nozzles? would i have to change jetting? i do have a clutch kit-but also have a aftrmrkt pipe. anybody have any suggestions on a kit to run? NOS any info would be greatly appreciated

Pimped - I really like Holtzmans, but there are others that work well also.
Jetting - NO,
Clutching - Depends on the revs the clutching puts out.
I would think (2) 30 horse nozzles would do just fine in your rage.

I use a wet system on the 03 and 05. The new Attak will be a wet system also.

Any performance shop should be able to guide u to a local dealer, or person who runs the stuff.
