Stock RA Apex suspension ??

Just curious why people are changing springs just because of weight. From what I understand that by changing the C clip position this will accomadate riders up to 300 lbs. Plus the spring is primarily used for ride height adjustment and the RA for ride comfort. I understand by going to a higher rate spring will affect bottoming but shouldn't you change shock valving along with a new spring if you are going to put a new spring on.

you have to removed the shock to compress the spring to removed the c-clip, , big difference in pre-load and confort, thebest

OK so are you telling me the extra preload effected the comfort range that much,wow,maybe i will just stick w/stock spring first,and play with compression and rebound to see what works,for me..
