I have an xtx-le and wanting to do a stage 1 tune. Anyone have experience with one. I have a few questions as I’ve never done one before. I do not want to have an aftermarket exhaust as I want to maintain the quietness. What’s the pros and cons?!

TURBO DYNAMICS , We can install , fun , fast , great on fuel , all safteys in place , pm me , in Ontario

Can I install myself? What does your kit involve? And any hp numbers and options with the kit?

I would recommend hurricane's
Stock muffler 240 or 270 ss (superspool) tune.
This would require
-240ss flash
-3 bar map sensor
-Adjustable clutch weight (at minimum)
Doesn't hurt to add a blow off valve but not required.

The 240 is under rated it comes in higher on the dyno. You can run 87octane if needed.
The tune comes with a upgraded knock detection program that makes the tune as reliable as stock.
You will also have boost pressures displayed on your gauge.

You can install everything in a hour! It's very simple.
If you contact Dave at Hurricane he will send you a flasher to borrow so you can flash your sled .

I did quite a few last year with the TD ecotrail. Tune only, ZERO other changes, including stock clutching which can handle and works relatively well with ecotrail. Save your money for beverages.

I have the 240 that Marc lists and it is great !
I am considering to go to the 270 SS , as I have some time on my hands as my snow flap repair went so smoothly !!

Ran eco trail stock muffler from TD part of last winter. Excellent tune, quite noticable gain in power and requires no other changes to sled. Simply flash ecu and go out and ride. Rpms may or may not be a smidge high with no clutching changes but nothing that will effect performance or anything else. If you have a buddy with a flasher they can flash the tune for you or you can purchase your own flasher and do yourself. Otherwise youll need to find someone/dealer to do it or mail your ecu to someone who can.

I have most of the TD stuff for stock muffler. Easiest no fuss is Eco-Trail. If I was doing it on another new SW I would go Hurricane Stock Muffler Dash Flash bundle.

I can recommend Turbo Dynamics stock muffler tune Max 16, been in my 2018 Sidewinder XTX since new. 4,000 miles, quiet and runs awesome!!

I spoke with both TD and Hurricane today, don't think either one is a bad choice. Pricing is close either way. I decided on Hurricane for the 3 bar fuel map sensor and Dave sends a flasher with your bundle to do it all yourself. With TD you have to send your ECU out to have it flashed. That was the deciding factor for me.

Free, or lender flasher?

I have said it before and I will say it again.
We are crazy fortunate to have these exceptional companies developing and selling products for our Sidewinders!
I am using Hurricane products on my 2019 Winder and I could not be happier but I have friends running TD and Precision tunes and they feel the same way.
Moral is....you can’t go wrong with these awesome companies!
Pick your poison with Hurricane, TD, Precision you can’t go wrong!!!!
I am partial to dealing with Dave at Hurricane but thats me....go with what feels right for you....you can’t go wrong
