New to me 2014 yamaha viper se ltx. What would be the best setup for carbides on the stock skis?

IMO snow trackers!!
I have slim jims also (on shelf in garage) they worked okay but the trackers have a way better bite!
My wife has slims on her sled and likes them I found that they weren't aggressive enough for how I ride and still got some push in the corners
I get no push in corners with the trackers!!!

Maybe i'll try them. My XTX pushes when I ride hard. Got wife a 2013 vector with trackers and she loves them

You'll get a wide variety of opinions. I'm trying out the 6" shapers inside and the 3" factory carbides outside. I'd imagine that will be plenty of grip for a LTX w/ 96 studs only.

Carbides are only a link in the chain though. Make sure you have your skid setup to transfer enough weight for your size and keep the front planted.

Yes, I have the XTX and I just purchased HYGEAR couplier and front & rear shock resivors

I started with staggard doolies that cat sold even with 96 studs it never darted. Went to 144 studs than went to 6 inch doolies from a chain store and turned even better and no darting

I will have to see how bad it is with the stock setup and decide how aggressive I'll need to go. The original owner had curve skis which he said were amazing but took them off and put stockers back on.

It has some sort of carbide on there. I'll have a look to see if I can figure out what they are. I ride mostly trails in bancroft area.
