I have heard of taking the outer idler wheels and flipping them to the inside of the suspension to accommodate a 10.5" X 136 Asphalt track. Does anyone on here have any experience with this type of set up??

I've got an SRX in which is running stock suspension with 10" track, there are two shaft bolted directly in the tunnel after the skid and track is in place to hold the track up in the tunnel. The wheels on these shafts are move in to accomodate the 10" track. I didn't fabricate this myself but did have it out and back in to change the track. I don't remember exactly how it all goes together, but it is possible.

I assumed that. It looks like there would be a issue with moving the top idlers in since the springs are in the way. I don't see how the top the track would rotate without hitting the skid frame if those idlers were not there. That was the main area of concern for me.
thanks for your help... any chance you have any picture of the setup on the SRX??

I'll have to get it out of storage to get some good pictures, could be a couple of weeks at least.

That's right....you are going with the 10.5 track.
You can just run the inner 2 or figure out a way to incorporate the other 2 inside the rails.
Still need to get you pics man.

Look at the pics in this page for how I used the 2 wheels and shaft to carry the asphalt track on top. Then the extra wheels in the suspension
