Ok, So I'll be taking delivery of an 03 RX-1 shortly. What other makes/models can this sled beat stock vs. stock? I'm asking so I know which friends I can run my mouth to!!!

Dont run your mouth. Stock it perfoms OK in the 700 class. With some mods they can be made to go

If it has the stock finger track change it ASAP otherwise everyone will out run you.

I dont agree with you on the finger track I ran mine up until this year and I could very easily out run my brothers Apex. 123.521 mph on GPS up on long lake northern wis. I changed mine because it started to throw studs.

Depends on the conditions. On extremely hardpack and/or top end long distance runs, the shorter lug is best. Ripjunk is ALWAYS trash. Use a predator for best performance. Available in 1" or 1.25" depending on your favorite conditions. The 1" predator has better traction in ALL conditions than ANY size of ripjunk.

The correct reply in my opinion is what type of race top end 2 miles on lake or 660 feet or 100 feet stock for stock they lack some in 660 plus they are heavy but they go pretty good you really need 100 feet to get it going again just my opinion. The finger track was good in perfect conditions for top end but not much else. 123 is the best stock speed I have heard of but 116 118 on radar is somewhere in the range of what I have seen. With small mods clutch ECP EVAC it improves the middle so much it makes it a whole different sled you will beat alot of sleds
It doesn't matter yours will sound faster.

I have a 05 RX1 with air box, jetting and clutching. I have not raced many sleds but the ones I have raced I have done better than I thought this heavy sled would do. Here is a list of some that I have run and beat. F7, ZR 800 singles and twins, 98 ported SRX no studs, Piped SX700 and much more, BB 780 SRX no studs, Apex, ZR900, XC700,ported and piped MXZ 700. I did get beat by a Crankshop 890BB twin with twins. She has always been fast and she was chiseled. I don't think I could take her even if I was chiseled but would be very close. We will find out this weekend. I am putting in chisels tomorrow and will race this weekend.

last year i beat a 700 and lost to a built 800 with my stock warrior, with a great rip saw track on it! this year i have done a few mods and i can see and feel a noticable difference...... i am looking for that 800 again! lol... soon as we get enough snow around here i am going to go run him again.

If you get enough snow, send some here to Northeast Pa, we don't have any. By the time I complete this transaction and take delivery of the RX-1, winter will probably be over and I won't even get to ride it til next season!
