So I took my stock muffler off in preparation of putting my brother's Yoshimura on when he gets a blower. The straight pipe sounds wicked, but my brother says I am losing a lot of pwer because of lack of backpressure. How much am I really losing? Is it a crapload?

You don't want to do that. You do want some backpressure for sure! Great way to burn a valve too!

Thanks for the reply. The Yoshimura will go on there before season, but every time I see the thing I have to turn it on and hear it.

the best part is we store our sleds in my neighbors garage so we dont have to deal with the storage and we have plenty of room to work on them in there. Of course the neighbors love us.

This is our homemade pipe. 1/2 Excell, 1/2 homemade.
