Started first with installing a rolled and dropped Avid chaincase.
Then replaced original radiator with a bigger one while I was in there.

Installing Brandt Boards
FYI These running boards are top notch, a little pricey but well worth it.

That is some really nice craftmanship there!!!!!

I am still waiting for my boards from Rat sled - I cant wait after seeing these pictures speed. I went with polished ones. Shipping is slow overseas - LOL.

Who will have the fastest sled in the family this year - you or AJA636?

Keep up the nice work both of you - both sleds looks AWSOME!

Thanks TT, you will be happy with the Rat boards, worth the wait.
I have to let AJ be the fastest or he will tell his mommy LOL ;)!

 LOL

Did you order the running boards short - or did you move them forward a litttle?

Your pictures got me a little worried - because when I placed the order with Steve I told him to make them exactly like the Apex project sled on the webpage with out the M-10 drop brakects.

I want the outer heat exchangers to enter the tunnel ext. after the exhaust crate/basket. It has to be that way so I can install the drop brackets for the mountain suspension under the running boards.

I saw some pictures on SW of a RX-1 with ratsled runing boards - the running boards were also shorter than on the procjet sled. But on this sled the owner was not using heat exchanger on the out side. He was reusing the running board heat exchanger from Yamaha.

The boards are his standard length ,I only moved them forward about 1/2 inch, when you mount them I believe you can move them back a little. I don't know if you'll clear that rear bucket? If you look @ the pic below you'll see by the foot well there is about 2 inches leeway.
TT I'll get a measurement for you shortly

You have a solid two inches to move boards back from where mine are mounted ;)!
