For me its about $.I know before even riding it that TY and I could easily make the Viper work even if Yamaha doesnt. 5 years of warranty is alot of time and my past experience with Phazer and how well Yamaha treated our issues I agree nothing to worry about. If they had a RR Version this would be a done deal a week ago.

Although I am not interested in a Viper after seeing them at the Old Forge show, but my dealer told me Today he could only order 10 Vipers, and would not be able to order any more. He is not a large dealer, and they put a limit on his order based on how many sleds he has ordered in the last few years.

I beg to differ Andy, I too have owned both, Mxz 670HO, 95, 96, 97, 99, 06 Mach Z's, an 08 REV XP 600SDI and a whole $hit load of Yamaha's. Body panels, button and switches, windshields etc. How durable has the tra been in the 1200? Lots of guys on Doo Talk having issues. BMW (Yamaha) compared to a scion (Doo)SledFreak said:Mighty said:You guys can believe what you want, I really don't care. Just passing on info to anyone that wants to take a chance on this and possibly be disappointed if they don't get one. I went to another dealer today to look at the 1200 Doo again and it was next to the cat pro-cross which was next to my 2012 apex. I can say beyond the shadow of a doubt, that the apex is head and boulders above both sleds as far as quality of components used to build each sled. At this point I'm definitely passing on the viper and am leaning towards passing on the Doo.
Lastly; I would question cats production capacity. Don't forget that they have to build their sleds too
I have owned and ridden both sleds. The Apex is NOT head and shoulders over a DOO. Your dreaming.. If you are looking at the 2 chrome pieces that are on the Apex, then you are not looking deep enough... You need to look at the facts before you make claims like this. The Viper would intrigue me if it has more hp. But, I would still need to see one before that ever happened.

We should probably stay with the original thread.
This is the 12th of MARCH. Snow check runs till 20th af APRIL. Any one that thinks Cat or Yamaha will not fill the Snow checks needs a reality check. Dealer orders may be limited to X number of sleds but not filling snow checks would be suicide for either/both companies.

You talk about one issue with the 1200? I won't talk about the etec, but it can't be that bad as Jason bought one. The 1200 with edrive has been really good. The 1200 does not blow belts with the edrive... I could also go on the Nytro form and look at issues or the Apex form... I have ridden with three 2010 Vectors this year. Four the 5 times we were out 3 of them at least blew an idler wheel or a belt. Even the brand new Apex eat sliders... So you can`t tell me that the quality is that much better, its not bmw comparable..
Also the #*$&@ load of Yamahas you owned, half of which you never drove before you sold them off.. How many miles did you really have on any of your ApexéAttacks before you sold them. I put 4600 miles on my Apex and 2000 on my Nytro XTX.
Don`t get me wrong, I like Yamaha and would buy another, but they don`t have anything I want and obviously they don`t for you or you would not even be looking...

Are you referring to Mike's? My wife is quite interested in one after we rode them up in OF. I am pretty interested too but plan on considering all of my options. If Mike can't order one for me then I guess that could sway my decision.
