Does engine oil need to be drained to prevent oil from flowing out once the stub shaft is removed?

No. It's a dry-sump engine.

All went well with my primary clutch Stub Shaft removal, press apart, press back together with Green loctite, thanks to this site and it’s helpful/technical search tools, and Turboflash’s quick response, and my good buddy Dicky’s press!
Offset measurements before and after, show a 1.25mm difference! Clutch back was not hitting on stub shaft bolts, but it had less space then usual, and offset settings had changed a bit, so now I know!
Thanks again All!
