studding a 2012 apex

Can anyone give me advice on studding a 2012 Apex. Woody's calls for 153 downd the middle, I am okay with that but I am being told the stock tunnel protectors will fail. What fix are people doing to the tunnel protectors? Please let me know what your experience is and what can be done to prevent a future problem.

I did the same thing......bought an Apex, THEN looked into studding. I have studded ALL my own ski doos, the Apex, I let the dealer do, wasnt cheap!!

I dont know all the details, but it isnt a "throw tunnel protectors in and go" deal like other brands.
