Any issues with studding the outside row of a track on a 2011 apex se, 128 mono other then tearing out lugs? I need more traction and I'd be willing to give up track life for grip! Currently 3 studs per bar
Thanks,
Scott

I have my 12 128 studded on the out side! No issue's so far with 2500 mi. Keep them in the center 1/4" of the belt and do every other window!

I just got an 06 GT this past fall that was studded on the outside (192 studs in a 121" track). There is 3200 miles on the sled and they all looked great. I think the track will hold up just fine if you are doing stupid stuff like jabbing the throttle in low snow conditions. On hard pack snow it hooks up like crazy.

It will be fine if your looking to add them for straight line traction ... it is when you get supper aggressive with cornering when you see the track tear outward....

when i had my 2 stoke 700s back in the day! i had em all studed on out side and would eventually tear out only on out side and leave holes the size of quarters in track, there is a number of tear outs u can have be for replacing but on my last 2 stroke and now my apex just went to larger and longer! track no studs, but with 3 studs per bar u have now u might not be over stressing the outward ones that much

You'll be fne on the outside. My srx's where studded on the outside and never had a problem just keep them at least 1/2" away from the edges. I didn't stud the outside of my xtx because I figured it might not corner as well. I wanted it to break loose because of the longer track. If I need more studs I will add them to the outside but on every other row.

been a while but if u do i think u want to offset them closer to the rails for better support, (less flexing), and as twyztid said should be good as long as u know when to stab throttle and conditions!

Alright thanks for all the suggestions hopefully get the rest of the studs in this weekend! I hopefully will get to test out this hurricane 180hp kit Jan 28th weekend and would like all the traction I can get!
