Question about number of studs and pattern with MPI stage 1 charger at 7lbs on 121" track.
Would like to stay on the inside of the track. I know the general guideline is 1 stud per HP, but how does that coincide with boosted HP? Also would like to only run double backers for reliability against pulls. My plan was to run 2 doubles every row in a tree pattern. What do you all think?
Also wondering about studding a brand new track. Should I wait for a few 100 miles for the track to stretch? Or install right away and re-torque frequently? I am running a cobra track.
Thanks a lot!

I had as many as 300+ and finally settled on 144 down the middle with as many as you can in double backers to reduce pull out. Never lost one when I was a 121 cobra. Stretching is a non issue. Yes re-torque after 100 miles and then every season.
What I didn't expect was how much I was spinning with a boosted sled. I went to a 151x13.5" track and it was like I added 100hp no lie. Insane what traction does.
If you cant afford to stretch it then yet stud but it still wont help much, she needs length to really grab.

What pattern did you use? 2 doubles every lug? Is it ok to do that if I only want to use doubles?
