Anyone do this yet?
If so did you drop the back of the suspension?
I assume to do this I can just remove the bolt from each side on the rear suspension brackets. The only concern I have is the torsion springs given the pressure they are under, but that assembly (springs, wheels and shaft)appear to be held on to the shaft by a collar with a set screw.
Any comments?

I will be doing mine on my MarLift.
I like to release the rear suspension mount and drop the rear of the skidframe. It makes for easier access.
I am going to get started in the next night or so, I will let you all know how I make out.

I just did 2 Rage's. Just rolled them on their side, and it went along real fast. The track spins pretty easily.

I just finished my RX-01 and the RS Vector, I just rolled them on the clutch side and had no problems, when I did the same with my 03 RX-1 I ended up washing out the new set of plugs, so this year I let the sled sit for a day before I tried starting them with no plug fouling. Either that or hang the sled and work underneath it. ? How many studs and what kind?

I did 108 on each one. Used Redtip stainless studs. My buddy Phantom has used them for years, and he got them at the Syracuse show for $1.10
each..........I was more concerned with safety than anything else, so I went light. I still can't get over the fact that they only put 3" carbides on the Rage. With the long track and the studs pushing, I bet the front end is gonna dance all over the place...........I've got 2 sets of 6" Woody's Dualy's for when the stockers burn up.

Yeah I think it's a huge uphill battle for our Cards, but we have to believe, I'm just happy you beat the Evil Empire... Got tickets for tonight and tomorrow night, I hope it's worth it...

All done.
Didn't need to drop the rear of the skid frame, lots of room to work on this sled without doing this.
Here are a couple of pics.

skidozer,
I created 13 scratch lines evenly spaced in the centre belt. The pattern repeats every eight rows. Here are the measurements for the stud locations measured left to right from the inside edge of the windows.
Row 1: 7/8,2-3/8,6-3/8
Row 2: 2-3/8,3-7/8,5-3/8
Row 3: 1-3/8, 5-3/8, 6-7/8
Row 4: 2-7/8, 4-3/8, 5-7/8
Row 5: 7/8, 2-3/8, 6-3/8
Row 6: 2-3/8, 3-7/8, 5-3/8
Row 7: 1-3/8, 5-3/8, 6-7/8
Row 8: 1-7/8, 3-3/8, 4-7/8
Suggest you mark these out on paper and ensure you are happy with the spacing and pattern before drilling your track.
Good Luck.

Flipper thanks for taking the time to give me the measurements.
I usually lay them out on a 1" wide pice of metal with a 90 deg bend.
then use that to mark the holes works well thanks again
