Is anyone running 1.4's on their sled ? If so, any problems with them ? I have 192 1.4 inch stainless steel carbide studs with blue aluminum backer plates . But, I would like some feedback on whether to use this length or not.

Personally i wouldnt go that long... I would suggest 1.325s with a max length of 1.375... They get too close for comfort after that!!

1.325's

I would recommend the 1.325's with hi-perf aluminum backers to save weight. The steel backers along with the studs just add too much weight and when your track balloons from all that weight look out!!!!!!!!!

Hey guy just ride it first. I went from 126 to about 80 and I probably cut back even more. The track is awsome for traction. I feel stud for safety only.

I've got 192 1.4 extremes and have put 120 miles with nothing hitting underneath. A lot of push in the corners though. Extremes are measured by the total length of the stud. I haven't had any problems. KEEP THAT ATRACK TIGHT!!!!!11

Listen to Sketr1 on this one...you don't have to stud the hell out of a 1.25" track...there is plenty of hookup! If I knew that I wouldn't hit any icy corners this season I would not even run studs and I have ran studs EVERY year except last year!! Yes it is that noticable!! See my post about my 96 studs on the 1.25"...every manufacturer said not to do it...except I read in Snowtech that they tested a 2003 ZR900 with 96 down the center and I thought hey if they can do it so can I!

Another thing !!! 1/4" Penetraion above the lug is all that you need....remember the lugs bend exposing more stud under hard acceleration. 1/4" is plenty!!! Unlike my wifes theory LONGER IS NOT ALWAYS BETTER :p :p :p
